Dead Last--the new Thorn novel--the Cover

Got a version of the new cover of the next Thorn novel that'll appear in November, around Thanksgiving. Thorn gets involved with an obituary writer for the Miami Herald, (she's an old flame) and through her Thorn becomes way too involved with a TV crime show being shot in Miami. TV stars, writers and directors can be very dark and twisted.

The cover is an early draft and will probably change a bit, but I'm guessing it'll stay close to this. I like it. A little less dark and noirish than recent covers.

Got opinions? I can still pass on feedback to the publishers before all this gets set in stone.

I like this cover very much. Startled by the title, but you figured your fans would be.

I'm just thrilled to hear that you have new material coming out this year. You're my favorite author and can't wait to read more. Good health to you mr hall.

Always look forward to a new Thorn. (Just wish you'd get onto the same dependable annual cycle like White's Doc Ford series. Can't get enough of either.) The character depth coupled with the quirky South Florida noir backdrop is something always looked forward to, especially coming out of a deep Great Lakes Winter. All the best!

Do you have any children? If yes, do they like to write as well?

I like the idea of the quill. We have Parrots, and they have blood feathers which (as you probably know) make great writing instruments, after they fall out (which is normal). Nice play on the visuals.

Being a Sanibel Island home owner, and knowing some of the secrets of this Island, Mr. Hall adds to my dreamy situations that could exist here. I always look forward to his new books to see what troubles Thorn can outlive.
