Sounds too good to be true.
Thorns can't be very far away from this story.
Think I will wait for the Carl Hiaasen book.
It should be interesting to see how badly Big Sugar has bamboozeled all the poor Floridiots!
Wonder why they really yanked the TV series CANE? Writer's strike or payoffs?
So .... I wonder who the State of Florida is going to "lease" the land to? All that RR track and two money makers (refineries) just sitting there.
Or ...
maybe it was time to retire those two and modernize the remaining plants for a more optimum output and profits (surpassing the present). And tax writeoff. And masked polution. The last few years have been pretty good to Big Sugar, (lately) a well traded commoditity.
